A Fortnite experience designed to raise awareness among new generations about sorting, reusing and the impact of electronic waste.
As part of the national “Info-tri” campaignThe Ministry of Ecological Transition wished raising awareness among younger generations about recycling practices through a more immersive and engaging format.
In collaboration with dentsu France, the TRI’ATHLON experience was developed directly in Fortnite in order to transform educational mechanics into real interactive gameplay.
Players navigate a city overrun with waste where their mission is to gradually restore the environment by collecting, sorting, repairing and recycling various everyday objects.
Through several quests and mini-games, players learn to identify the correct collection points, use the Info-tri instructions and apply the 3Rs principles: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.
The experience blends exploration, scoring, and cooperation in several areas inspired by Fortnite Creative codes.
Players must:
• Collect electronic waste and used items
• Choose the right recycling bins
• unlock collection and sorting centers
• deliver certain items to charities
• Avoid polluted areas
• improve their score before the timer runs out
Each session allows you to optimize your time and efficiency in order to obtain the best possible score.
The campaign was relayed via TikTok, Instagram and several gaming content creators in order to reach a young audience directly on its native platforms.
The goal was to transform an institutional awareness campaign into a shareable and community-based interactive experience.
